What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the over 80+ cannabinoids primarily found in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. It’s non-psychoactive, and has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health. It is known for supporting the body and mind in many biological processes and has a remarkable safety profile.
How does CBD work?
CBD is one of the many phytonutrients found in the cannabis plant. CBD works with your endocannabinoid system (ECS) to help our bodies naturally produce balance and communication between cells. When cannabinoids like CBD bind to the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the ECS, the receptors either do more or less of what they were doing in order to bring your body back to a place of homeostasis.
What are the important factors to consider when buying CBD oil?
The single most important thing to focus on when choosing a CBD product, is the quality of the oil above all else. Where is the hemp sourced? Is it organic and natural? Are there third party lab results available for every batch sold? It’s also important to research the company and read reviews. Not all CBD oil is the same, so it may be beneficial to try different products to find what works for your body.
What kinds of tests are run on your products?
Every batch of our CBD products are third party lab tested twice, once during the initial formulation process and again once the product has been completed. All our hemp extract and supplements are tested for potency and are guaranteed to be free of contaminants like heavy metals, bacteria, residual solvents and pesticides. Results can be found using box labels and/or by sending a request here. (to be verified)

Will I get high if I use Max1 products?
No. All of our products are made from industrial hemp, which only has trace amounts of THC, if any, so there is no psychoactive effect from taking our products.
Is CBD legal?
All of our hemp is grown legally in the state of Colorado. With the passage of the new legislation of the United States Farm Bill of 2018, CBD containing less than 0.3% of THC is non-psychoactive and legal in all 50 states and most international countries. You do not need a prescription or a medical card to buy hemp CBD oil or products. We do recommend if your are buying CBD outside the US, that you research your restrictions in your own country before placing an order.
What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
The main difference between CBD oil and hemp oil is that hemp oil does not contain CBD. Hemp and CBD are made from different parts of the plant and serve different purposes. We use extraction to draw the CBD from the plant material and filter out the unnatural substances to maximize the CBD concentration. While CBD is extracted from the entire plant, minus the seeds, hemp is extracted only from the seeds. Hemp-seed oil is used as a protein supplement for food, as varnish for wood and as a common ingredient in lotion and soap products.
Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
As a full spectrum cannabinoid extract, there are many other naturally occurring cannabinoids in hemp, including trace amounts (parts per billion) of THC that could show up in a drug screen. All of our products are legal and contain less than the legal limit of 0.3% of THC, however there is a chance that even in these miniscule amounts, they could show up on a drug test, depending on the sensitivity of the person and the test – much like poppyseeds may cause a positive result for opioids. If you are subject to drug testing, we recommend you consult your health care provider before consuming any hemp products.
What is the difference between isolate, broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD?
There are many types of CBD oil on the market, including full spectrum, broad spectrum and isolate. Full spectrum CBD oil contains CBD, less than 0.3% THC and most hemp derived cannabinoids. This allows for the entourage effect when all of the cannabinoids and terpenes work together to provide your body with the maximum benefit from our CBD oil. Broad spectrum CBD oil is essentially full spectrum, except it goes through an additional refinement process in order to remove as much as the THC as possible from the final product. In a CBD isolate, all other cannabinoids and THC are removed from the full spectrum oil so that what is left is 99% pure CBD.
How should I store CBD? What is the shelf life?
To best maintain the quality of the product, bottles should be kept in a cool, dark area to ensure no loss of potency. Ensure bottle does not sit in direct sunlight. If properly stored, a typical bottle of CBD has around a 1 year shelf life with extended shelf life up to 18 months with refrigeration.
How do I consume CBD?
CBD oil can be used in a few different applications. You can take a sublingual dose (under the tongue) for approximately 60 sec which results in the fastest absorption. A second way to use CBD oil is to apply the oil topically to your skin. This can be done by applying oil directly to the problem area or combined with your favorite moisturizer and spread over a larger area. You may also choose to add the oil to food or beverages, such as a smoothie or salad, or placed in foods while cooking or baking.
How should I use the included dropper to administer the oil?
The included dropper should be kept clean, especially if taking CBD orally or sublingually. Clean the dropper with warm water or alcohol swab after each use to remove bacteria and avoid contaminating the bottle. If using alcohol, be sure dropper is dry before placing back in bottle. All droppers in our oils contain graduated measurement guidelines to assist you in taking the appropriate amounts desired.
How much CBD should I take?
Everyone responds differently to CBD, so experimentation will be needed to determine the appropriate dosage for you and your body’s needs. It is generally recommended to start low and gradually increase, as needed, to monitor how your body responds. When searching for your optimal dose. it is important to take into consideration the method of CBD delivery, the symptoms you are addressing, the quality of the CBD itself and your bodyweight. As always, consult your physician before taking CBD for their recommendations of use.
Is Max1 CBD Oil safe for pets?
There should be no side effects from giving your animals CBD if you use the proper dosage. Animals generally require less CBD than humans and do not have the ability to tell you how they are feeling so keep an eye on their behavior as you begin supplementing. Too much CBD can cause drowsiness, upset stomach or diarrhea. Consult your veterinarian for recommendations and ensure your pet gets the maximum results.
